Infrared goggles?

Is there any way to make a device for under about $200 AUD that will enable me to view clearly objects illuminated with infrared light to a minimum range of about 20m. I also want to know whether you can construct a device to convert light from the infrared spectrum to the visual light spectrum without any electrical circuitry etc.

Well I am not sure about the meter range on these or if these are even what you would want for sure but check the link I have under sources. It has some pretty interesting stuff on the stuff your asking about I think.
